Monitoring
To optimize irrigation it is crucial to keep track of accurate indicators and use them for proper irrigation timing. The CleverFarm app links data from soil sensors and weather stations to provide insights into important factors such as air and soil temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, direction and gusts, leaf wetting, radiation (sunshine intensity), evapotranspiration, volumetric water content of soil, suction pressure, electrical conductivity (salinity) or other indicators.
Thanks to this, you can precisely adjust the water dosage to the specific conditions of the site and the needs of individual crops. The result is accurate water dosing, cost savings and more stable plant growth. Thus, CleverFarm helps you not only save water, but also improve the fitness and yield of crops.

Each crop has key periods during its growth when it needs sufficient water and nutrients for optimal development. In these critical phases, it can lack of moisture affect the health of the plant, as well as its yieldthat can no longer be caught up during the season.
To our clients we help to set the so-called hydrolimites — an ideal level of soil moisture, adapted to the type of soil and the particular crop at different growth stages. With this approach, we ensure that the plants get exactly as much moisture as they need.

EVAPOTRANSPIRATION
Monitoring meteorological indicators such as temperature, solar radiation, air humidity or evapotranspiration will allow you to better control irrigation. Evapotranspiration indicates the amount of water that evaporates from the soil and releases from plant leaves, helping to predict a decrease in soil moisture. Higher temperatures, wind strength, and solar radiation intensity accelerate this decline, while relative humidity can both increase and decrease it.
This data will give you allow irrigation cycles to be more accurately planned, ensure the correct timing of watering, where it is necessary to irrigate and use water more economically for healthy crop growth.

Soil monitoring also allows you to monitor electrical conductivity from which it can be deduced salinite — the concentration of salts in the soil, which can affect the availability of water and nutrients to plants. High salinity makes it difficult for plants to receive water and nutrients, which can limit their growth and reduce yields.
Using CleverFarm sensors, we monitor electrical conductivity (EC) values that show the salinity level in the soil. Thanks to these data, fertilizers can be precisely dosed especially for drip irrigation with fertigation and adapt irrigation and nutrient dosing to the specific needs of crops, ensuring optimal conditions for growth.

expert advice
Thanks to our many years of experience, we offer our clients comprehensive precision irrigation servicethat helps them optimize water use and effectively manage the irrigation regime according to the specific conditions of their plots.
How does our service work?
1. Soil analysis and determination of hydrolimits
Collaboration with CleverFarm starts with soil sampling directly on site. In the laboratory, we perform granulation analysis and determine the exact soil type. Based on these data, we subsequently determine the so-called soil hydrolimites — thus:
- field capacity (the maximum amount of water that the soil is able to retain),
- wilting point (the boundary below which plants are no longer able to draw water),
- and optimal humidity range for effective watering.
2. Irrigation Scheme Design
Thanks to this data, we can determine with high accuracy when, where and how much to irrigate. The aim is to reduce the waste of water and energy while ensuring ideal conditions for crop growth. We help clients tailor irrigation and nutrition management to the specific needs of their soil and crops.
3. Utilization of satellite and sensory data
We also incorporate satellite data into the process to evaluate the heterogeneity of the plot — that is, the differences in soil and vegetation properties within a single field. Based on this data, we select the most suitable places for the installation of soil moisture sensors and other measuring devices.
4. Installation and interpretation of data
During the installation of the device, we explain to clients what phenomena we are observing, why they are important, and what changes can be expected based on the data. Subsequently, we provide a regular evaluation of the obtained data with clear and practical recommendations for the adjustment of dressing or nutrition.
